What’s written above it’s true. I think you have to experience love to be able to prove that what has been said here it’s true.

There’s also another side of this definition which entails one of the partners to “fight” for love. Fighting, meaning doing almost everything to make her/his counterpart not just fall in love but to love him/her. It’s not an easy task but those who have given up doing this might say that you can’t push someone to love you.

You will be perfect in a career that stimulates your mind and allows you to do things on your own.

You don’t like attention and usually limit your interaction to people close to you.  You like to listen to others but you do not like sharing much about yourself.  You try to maintain a certain level of privacy and usually want to stay behind-the-scenes.

You are practical, you think things thoroughly and weigh all options before you decide.  You like to know what you are getting into before you commit to something.

You prefer to focus on a few projects making sure they get completed.

It’s important for you to succeed and achieve your goals that is why you work hard now so you can play later.

Possible career options:  writer, photographer, graphic designer, developer, artist, systems analyst, programmer, webmaster, planning, accounting.

Why are there a lot of people who are satisfied with
mediocrity? It’s one of the sad realities of life that we deal with everyday.

 

Have you ever asked a sales representative if they have
another stock of the rubber shoes or slip-ons that you want to purchase and
then they would say “no” just because they don’t want to get it? It’s annoying!
Believe me. I’ve experienced somewhat like that today.

 

Last weekend, I found a dong-a
u-knock retractable refill in my pile of junk (and school supplies) and
sadly, I didn’t find any retractable pen from that pile. I thought of buying a
pen so I can use the refill (oh yeah! What a genius!). I wanted to use that
refill and I thought I’d need a black pen again anyway.

 

So the glorious day came wherein I found myself infront of
the favorite bookstore of almost all Filipinos. There I was walking inside
National Bookstore (cubao branch). Hehe. There were a lot of people, minding
their own business and I wanted the saleslady in front of me to mind me. I knew
what I wanted and so with all my might, I readily asked for a dong-a
retractable pen. She immediately told me after having a glimpse on the shelf of
pens with the dong-a label that they don’t have it and that dong-a doesn’t have
a retractable pen. I was like “I have a refill at home so imposible na walang
retractable pen ang dong-a”. Why the heck will dong-a have a refill for a pen
that doesn’t exist! Like, duh! But of course, I was kind enough to let it pass
and asked the lady for a faber retractable pen instead.

 

On my way home, I thought of checking out the pen that I
bought and remove the price tag sticker. I just hate the sticky remnants of the
price stickers. Anyway, as I was removing the sticker, I noticed that the brand
isn’t faber at all. It was a dong-a pen. Oh how I wanted to go back there and
shove it in the face of the saleslady. Haha.

 

This is just one of my non-adventures. Lol.

It’s official. This 6th day of June, year 2008, I think I’ve
lost a friend.

 

I’ve been in not-so-good relationships before, have had
several regrets, but I never lost a friend before – not this way.

 

I have nothing else to blame but my erratic emotions. One
moment I’m okay, the other I’m weeping and drowning myself in tears because of
the unrequited love. I am blaming myself. It’s all my fault. Only that I wished
he was more straightforward and just dumped me. I wish he just told me that he
doesn’t like me nothing more than a friend than suffering 7 months of hoping. 

 

I miss the times we’ve spent together as friends. I only
have the memory of the Sky is the limit, mcdonald’s, pizza, Timezone, Friday’s,
G4, MRT, LRT, UST, UP, Bahay ng Alumni, Mini-stop, Cubao, dimsum and dumplings,
I am Legend, Fazolis, Jack’s loft, Decades, Metrowalk, Viva, Recto, 7/11,
P.Noval, Taxi rides without aircon, flyff, dota, 11,000 pesos worth of calls,
jamming, videoke, Japanese series, youtube vids, petty quarrels… the list goes
on.

 

I am so effed up. I miss the friend he was to me. I miss the
times that we were “okay”. Though I’ll never forget the times that he screwed
up, accusing me of things and then at the end it’s me who’s at fault. I had my
own share of mistakes. Pride created the distance, prejudice destroyed us, and my
love was wasted.

 

Eventually, I’m going to be okay.

Here I am, practically unemployed, enjoying life at it’s
fullest. Bumming around, spending time with my sisters and having the time to
see movies. Oh, I’m not so proud about the being unemployed part but that’s
another story.

 

What a bad intro for a blog. Haha. I just so have so much to
say. I’m overwhelmed by the “having too much time” and “having so much to do”
and “So much time”. I am used to ranting about wanting to do a lot of things
and not having the time to do so. But now that I actually have the time, everything
seems to be different. Somehow, it’s less thrilling and I just have “so much
time”. So much time that I am actually about to finish this paragraph which
only contains the idea that I have a lot of time.

 

Phew. I’m glad there’s always another paragraph. Haha.
Anyhow, I’d just like to wrap up what happened to my first week of “vacation”.
Yep! Vacash! I just recently resigned from being a slave to a company I am not
allowed to mention. Slave is an exaggeration of course. I don’t want to give
you the idea that I resigned because they were abusing me or that the company I
worked for was abusive at all. It was a choice I made out of the blue.

Life certainly has a funny way of putting you in your place. You think you have it so great. You meet a guy. You like him. You go out, have a wonderful time together. He seems to like you back. And then, just when things are going so well, disaster strikes. He doesn’t call. Worse, he doesn’t reply when you initiate the communication. And one is left wondering, was it all in your head? Did you just imagine the chemistry? Or, as most women are likely to do, did you just read too much into his actions? It’s a hard blow to one’s pride to be treated in such a cavalier manner. I guess a woman is better off in the olden days when she just waits for a man to make all the moves. In these modern times, a woman is never really sure if she comes off a subtle flirt or too forward. I am never sure! And that leaves me where I am right now, writing this stupid piece, listening to cheesy love songs and staying up late into the night asking myself where it all went wrong.

Lest I come off as such a drama queen, I was not in love. For someone who has never been in a relationship and, let’s face it, someone who has never been pursued much less courted, it can be such a thrill when a guy pays you attention. It’s pathetic really! How the simplest word, the smallest gesture can be such big deals. As much as it pains me to admit it, all this is my fault. The poor guy is an innocent bystander in this wreck. It’s just that it felt so good having someone to talk to, to be with. It made the tedium of everyday living more bearable. I felt. I was more alive. It may sound corny but everything was more beautiful, more colorful, more exciting. It reminded me of how I felt when I was in the throes of my high-school crushes. That knot you feel in the pit of your stomach when you know you’re about to see him. Well, I feel differently now. That knot has turned into a gnawing ache since realizing how foolish I have been. I’ve heard it said somewhere that you can’t depend on someone to make you feel alive. You’ll have to do that on your own. Turns out they’re right but it just feels so damned good having someone make you feel that way.

It’s 2:10 in the morning and I am still up, obviously. Putting my emotions on paper has certainly made me feel a little bit better. I am still listening to cheesy love songs and I fear that there will be many more sleepless nights to come. But I welcome them. For the longest time, I was content on drifting along. This experience made me appreciate the fact that I am alive. That I am still capable of feeling. That, someday, I will find love. But for now, let me wallow in the doldrums of unrequited love. I find it cathartic. I have come out a better person from this experience. I always considered myself an optimist but in the years that passed I have lost that. Well, I am once again optimistic. But this time my hopes are more rooted in reality. Life certainly has a funny way of putting you in your place. And, oddly enough, it has reasons for doing so.
